Self taught multi percussionist from Pamplona Since 1984 Carlos has played in numerous groups covering a wide range of styles including: Jazz, Flamenco, latin, rock, Brazilian, African and theatre. He has lived and worked overseas learning multiple intruments and their playing techniques from native tutors . Carlos creates, directs & produces the works of ALKORA & has recorded a variety of CD's with groups from Navarra & Guipuzcoa. He is currently a percussion tutor at the Barañain auditorium in Pamplona & continues to play flamenco & jazz in and around the region.
Together with Carlos, Ana founded ALKORA in 1998. She has developed her unique form of dance based on African styles. She has received tuition in various styles from instructors from Brazil, Guinea, and The Congo as well as more contemporary styles extending to African & Afro Cuban percussion. Ana has a totally origional style and much experience in carrying her work to the stage. Notable is her artistic choreography that transmits her musical sense. Ana has numerous performances under her belt including the international festival "Escena 2002" in Pamplona. She has taught dance throughout Navarra and currently tutors at the Baranain Auditorium and Juslarrocha cultural centre in Pamplona.
