"Welcome to my website. I'm a globetrotter in the world of dance, music & art and in my travels have learned much from a variety of different people and cultures. I create and direct percussion and dance shows as well as produce festivals and concerts around my native province , Navarra, Spain. I am always on the lookout for new ideas, talent and abilities. This site is a valuable aid through which anyone can make contact and share their world with mine thereby fusing culture and artistic styles to produce variety, enhance professional development and of course to have fun. I have travelled a bit and hope to continue to do so meeting new people, their music, ideas and talents."

Founder & director of ALKORA since 1998.

A multi percussionist (congas, batería, batás, bongos, bodhram, djembe, cajón, doun-douns, berimbau, shekeres, sabar, efects, electronic percussion etc… )

Carlos colaborated with many groups in the Tafalla region in the 1980's as a drummer & producer. In 1988 he lived and worked in Venezuela and became a member of the theatre group "AMERICA" playing live shows in Merida. He has played with many Brazilian and Latin rock musicians, poets and singer/songwriters in Venezuela. A highlight of his time there was the "Festival for peace " at Puerta de Los Andes.

He worked in Lanzarote with the group "LOS INCAS " & in Tenerife with Brazilian musicians founding the group "CHAKIRA BAMBA ".

Once back in Navarra he worked as a musician & actor in two works of "TEN Pinpilinpauxa" while performing as a jazz drummer & directing jam sessions in and around Pamplona.

For five years Carlos worked uninteruptedly with Javier Ruz (Flamenco guitarist) collaborating on such works as the flamenco ballet " Homenaje a Zambarbide" starring Cristina Álvarez and directed by Javier Pellejero as well as the tour “Festival Escena 2002”.

A self taught musician since 1984 Carlos creates unique, imaginative performances for the stage moulded from the fusion of various styles and trends. All firmly based on natural themes and consistent with human form and dance. Without bias towards style, form or colour the result is a show bound in essence, expressing warm figures and images throughout.

Carlos directs and produces all works by ALKORA.
